New Booze: Tullamore D.E.W. Phoenix

by Camper English

Tullamore D.E.W. Phoenix  is named for the Tullamore people, who rebuilt their town after they witnessed the first ever hot-air balloon disaster on record in 1785, and established the Tullamore Distillery in 1829 at the site of the fire.

It is a limited edition high strength, 55% ABV triple distilled Irish whiskey and finished in Old Oloroso Sherry casks.  It is a blend of all three types of Irish whiskey, pure pot-still, malt and grain whiskey. It is non-chill filtered, and each bottle is uniquely numbered.

Tullamore D.E.W. Phoenix is an annual limited edition release with 2,500 9-liter cases now available in the US at the suggested retail price of $54.99 per bottle.
