Recap: L.A.’s Art Beyond the Glass 2

by Lanee Lee

New Orleans has its Tales of the Cocktail, but Los Angeles has its own ultimate cocktail fest – Art Beyond the Glass. Dozens of L.A.’s top bartenders gathered last month to not only show off wicked cocktail making skills but also artistic craft as well – from painting to sculpting to DJ-ing – all for a good cause.

Dubbed as “the party of the year” two years in row, return bartenders included Soigné Group’s Julian Cox, Sunny Spot’s bartender/artist Brian Butler, Tasting Kitchen’s Justin Pike, Pour Vous’ Dave Fernie and Old Lightning’s Steve Livigni.

Debut mixologists at ABTG2 included The Corner Door’s Beau DuBois, Goldie's Brittini Rae Peterson, Littlefork’s DJ Dino Balocchi, Ray’s Bar bartender/DJ Paul Sanguinetti and Seven Grand’s Philip Renderer. As the emcee, Neat owner Aidan Demarest made his first appearance at ABTG one to remember.
